“So cool to see our new Quinn rig in action! She's so believable in this acting shot by Kevin Shiau—the heartbreak is real” 🍪🍪🍪

Lily & Snout

Two rigs I created for the VR short Lily & Snout.
The 2 rigs are available for free by
following this link. They are compatible with Maya 2015 and above.

Dawngate

This video provides an overview of the rigging tools I created for EA and Waystone Games' PC Free-to-play MOBA, Dawngate during my work there from 2011 to 2014 as a character rigger and lead animator. The tools displayed here are all written in Python and MEL. They are part of a bigger suite of tools that I maintained to support a Maya pipeline which the entire art team of a dozen people used daily to export art assets into the game.

Since the variety of body types in our character was great (bipeds, quadrupeds, centaurs, 4-armed people) - I wanted to make a modular rigging tool that would support any type of anatomy. These rigging tools were used successfully on more than 50 characters that all shipped as part of Dawngate's live service from 2013 to 2014.

Maya Tools

Some Maya tools I wrote to help me animate:

Timeline Keys to Graph Editor

A companion script to Aaron Koressel's excellent MEL animation tools. This script allows you to work with Aaron's tools directly from the timeline, instead of the Graph Editor.

ZVParent Master Pop Fixer

A safer alternative to ZVParent Master's pop fixer, which sometimes makes undesired changes to keys in order to fix a pop. This script interpolates child object positions across space switches, eliminating pops without changing any existing keys.
